Amazing illustrations from Joey Ellis, done in order to help his son learn the alphabet. (via Hipster Collective)
One of the nicest things I’ve seen on Lookbook in a while.
Alright Sans. Completely in love with this right now.
I’m definitely a bit late linking to this but for those who haven’t seen it, its worth the wait. David Desandro has recreated the Opera logo entirely in CSS using box-shadow, gradients and border-radius (something I’ve recently been playing with thanks to Dan Cederholm’s Handcrafted CSS).
Medicina Rossa - I don’t think I could ever get bored of work like this. Simply stunning.
Winter 1972 - I came across this just minutes after talking to my girlfriend about the book, More Paperwork by Nancy Williams. Looks amazing and I really can’t wait to browse through it this weekend.
Major Taylor Zine - Excellent colour combo and typography. Loving this.
I’ve slipped off the radar completely over the past few months, very sad I know. Majority of my free time has been spent stressing the fuck out learning calculus. Up until a few weeks ago I’d never even seen a calculus based equation, now I’m balls deep in inflextion points and derivatives. Why put myself through the stress of learning such a horrifying subject, well my goal is get into Usyd next year and study Design Computing. Being a lazy high school student and never attempting to get myself a UAI/ATAR, I now must enter through the mature aged student scheme. And as with all computer related subjects at Usyd, the pre-requisite is 2-Unit Maths.
My course wraps up in seven weeks time, which I hope is plenty of time to have this subject dialed back-to-front. Until then, this place should be a bit of a dead-zone.
Apple iPad - I don’t think I’ve ever seen Steve so excited over something as simple as browsing the web. It must be magic.
